Worship

The heartbeat of FPC is worship, and it is so because this is what we find to be the case in both the Old and New Testaments. God created us to know and worship Him, and He deserves such because He is sovereign and infinitely glorious.

Men, women, and children come together each Sunday morning and evening to offer the Lord worship that will be pleasing to Him. We endeavor to pattern our form and practice of worship by biblical teaching. We do not aim to impress, play on emotions, or copy mere passing trends. Rather we want to express reverence, joy, and heartfelt praise to our Triune God as He has taught us to do in Scripture.

We plan our worship, accordingly, by saturating every element of our worship services with biblical truth. In other words, we endeavor to sing the Bible, pray the Bible, preach the Bible and see the Bible [in the sacraments of baptism and the Lords Supper].

We do this through the signing of traditional, modern, and retuned hymns. This means we may sing Amazing Grace and then follow that with one by the Getty’s. While this combination of biblical saturation and reverence might not make our worship look like many other churches, we believe it best reflects the teaching of God’s Word
